Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 250 grams
  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 4

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients together until well combined, then shape the mixture into oval patties.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the salad by slicing the tomato and cucumber.
  5. Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with lettuce leaves.
  6. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the salad, and serve alongside the Simit Kebap.
