- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Simit (sesame bagel) crumbs - 100 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon - 1, for serving
- Yogurt - 100 grams, for serving
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Add the egg to the meat mixture and mix again until combined.
- Form the mixture into small oval-shaped meatballs, about 4-5 cm long.
- Spread the simit crumbs on a plate. Roll each meatball in the simit crumbs to coat evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs, ensuring they are not crowded in the pan.
- Cook the meatballs for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through, about 15 minutes total.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the Simit Kebab with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a side of yogurt.
