Ingredients
- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Ground almonds - 50 grams
- Tapioca starch - 30 grams
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Warm water - 150 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Honey or maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 50 grams
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, ground almonds, tapioca starch, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the warm water, olive oil, and honey (or maple syrup).
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a long rope, about 30 cm long.
- Form each rope into a ring, overlapping the ends slightly and pressing to seal.
- In a shallow bowl, place the sesame seeds. Dip each ring into water, then roll in the sesame seeds to coat evenly.
- Place the coated rings onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
