- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Red bell pepper - 1, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
- Onion - 1 medium, quartered
- Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, black pepper, paprika, salt, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably in the refrigerator.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb, red bell pepper, and onion onto skewers, alternating between the meat and vegetables.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness and has a nice char.
- In a small saucepan, sauté the chopped tomato in a little olive oil until softened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the kebabs hot, drizzled with the tomato sauce and garnished with fresh parsley.
