  • Hot water - 150 ml
  • Tomato - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Green bell pepper - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Fresh mint - 15 grams, finely chopped
  • Pomegranate molasses - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, place the fine bulgur and pour hot water over it. Cover the bowl and let it sit for about 15 minutes until the bulgur absorbs the water and softens.
  2. Once the bulgur is softened, fluff it with a fork to separate the grains.
  3. Add the chopped tomato, cucumber, green bell pepper, red onion, parsley, and mint to the bulgur. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the pomegranate molasses, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the dressing.
  5. Pour the dressing over the bulgur mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Let the kısır sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve chilled or at room temperature.
