Ingredients
- Yufka (Turkish thin flatbread) - 4 sheets
- Feta cheese - 150 grams, crumbled
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh dill - 15 grams, chopped
- Egg - 1 large, beaten (for filling)
- Egg - 1 large, beaten (for egg wash)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, ricotta cheese, chopped parsley, chopped dill, beaten egg, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Lay one sheet of yufka on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil. Place a second sheet on top and brush again with olive oil.
- Spoon some of the cheese filling along one edge of the yufka, then roll it up tightly to form a log. Pinch the ends to seal.
- Repeat the process with the remaining yufka sheets and filling.
- Place the rolled böreks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
