Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and ground mastic gum, whisking together until smooth.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and continue to whisk as the mixture heats up. Bring it to a gentle boil, ensuring to stir constantly to avoid lumps.
  3. Once it thickens (about 8-10 minutes), remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and rosewater.
