Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 250 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Olive oil - 50 ml
- Active dry yeast - 7 grams
- Sugar - 5 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Sesame seeds - 20 grams
- Black cumin seeds - 5 grams
Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and the yeast mixture.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle about 1 cm thick.
- Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops generously with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds and black cumin seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
