- Semolina - 100 grams
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Unsalted butter - 30 grams
- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Add the semolina and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown, stirring continuously.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Gradually add the yogurt mixture to the semolina, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- Pour in the water and continue stirring until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Add chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Once the mixture is thick and pulls away from the sides of the saucepan, remove it from heat.
- Transfer to a greased dish, smoothing the top, and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Cut into squares or diamond shapes and serve warm or at room temperature.
