  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the honey, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it is smooth.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each into a ring, ensuring the center is hollow.
  7. Place the formed rings on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with a little water.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each ring, pressing gently to adhere.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
