- Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, brown sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and ground cumin. Make a well in the center.
- Add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil to the well in the flour. Mix until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead in the chopped parsley and black pepper.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and let it rise for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
