Ingredients

  • Fresh fruit (strawberries, apricots, or cherries) - 300 grams
  • Sugar - 150 grams
  • Lemon juice - 20 ml
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Wash and chop the fresh fruit into small pieces, removing any pits or stems.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped fruit, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the fruit breaks down.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to a clean jar.
  7. Allow the reçel to cool completely before sealing and storing in the refrigerator.
