- Almonds - 30 grams, chopped
- Pine nuts - 20 grams
- Dried currants - 20 grams (optional for slight sweetness)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
- Allspice - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Stir in the ground beef or lamb, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
- Add the chopped almonds, pine nuts, dried currants (if using), salt, black pepper, cinnamon, and allspice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to toast the nuts and blend the flavors.
- Mix in the grated cauliflower and stir well to combine. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the cauliflower is tender but not mushy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley before serving.
