Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 250 grams
- Warm water - 150 ml
- Active dry yeast - 7 grams
- Sugar - 5 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 15 ml
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Parsley - 10 grams, chopped
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions. Roll each portion into an oval shape about 1 cm thick.
- In a mixing bowl, combine feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the center of each dough oval, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a boat shape and pinch to seal.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm.
