- Ground beef or lamb - 200 grams
- Mashed potatoes - 150 grams (about 1 medium potato)

- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Whole wheat buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2 medium, sliced
Steps
- Peel and boil the potato until tender, then mash it and set it aside.
- In a bowl, combine the ground meat, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined, then form the mixture into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the buns by toasting them lightly if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
