  • Egg - 1 large
  • Water - 80 milliliters
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground beef - 150 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Plain yogurt - 150 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt, then create a well in the center and add the egg and water. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add garlic, ground beef, black pepper, and paprika, cooking until the meat is browned. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface to about 2mm thickness. Cut the dough into 5 cm squares.
  4. Place a small spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each square. Fold the corners to the center and pinch to seal each dumpling tightly.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the manti on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. While the manti are baking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the plain yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt.
  7. Once the manti are done, serve them hot topped with the garlic yogurt and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
