Ingredients
- Zucchini - 200 grams
- Carrot - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- All-purpose flour - 50 grams
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons, for frying
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- Grate the zucchini and carrot using a box grater or food processor, and place them in a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out excess moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated zucchini and carrot with the egg, flour, crumbled feta, dill, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture for each fritter and flatten slightly in the pan.
- Fry the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Once cooked, transfer them to a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns in the same skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
- Assemble the Mücver Burgers by placing a fritter on each bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber slices. Close the buns and serve immediately.
