- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 120 milliliters
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Zucchini - 1 small, diced
- Spinach - 100 grams, fresh
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the topping by heating a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add diced red bell pepper and zucchini to the pan, cooking until softened for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, spinach, cumin, paprika, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until spinach is wilted.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into two oval shapes on a lightly floured surface.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the vegetable topping evenly over the dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
