Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (such as sea bass or trout) - 300 grams
  • Lamb shoulder, cubed - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 250 milliliters

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and continue to sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the cubed lamb shoulder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the lamb is browned.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a simmer. Cover and let it cook on low heat for 45 minutes until the lamb is tender.
  5. Once the lamb is cooked, gently place the fish fillets on top of the lamb in the pot. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  6. Cover the pot and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  7. Carefully serve the dish, ensuring both the lamb and fish are on the plate, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
