  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 500 milliliters
  • Rice - 200 grams (uncooked)
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onions until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced tomato and chopped red bell pepper, stirring for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Cut the lamb into chunks and add it to the pot, browning on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper over the lamb, mixing well to coat.
  6. Pour in the water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1.5 hours until the lamb is tender.
  7. While the lamb is cooking, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then cook it according to the package instructions.
  8. Once the lamb is tender, serve it over the rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
