Ingredients
- Lamb shoulder - 500 grams, cut into 4 cm cubes
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Fresh rosemary - 2 sprigs, chopped
- Fresh thyme - 2 sprigs, chopped
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Red onion - 1 medium, quartered
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine lamb cubes with olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to marinate the lamb for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your BBQ grill or oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Once the lamb is marinated, thread the lamb cubes, red onion, and bell pepper onto skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
- Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 2 hours, turning occasionally until the lamb is tender and cooked through.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
