Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder, boneless - 400 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers (soaked in water if wooden) - 4

Steps

  1. Cut the lamb shoulder into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the lamb cubes, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with your choice of sides, such as grilled vegetables or flatbread.
