Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder - 400 grams, cubed
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell peppers - 1 medium, chopped
  • Red onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Add the cubed lamb shoulder to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. While the grill is heating, prepare the skewers by alternating lamb cubes with pieces of bell pepper and red onion.
  5. Once the grill is ready, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
