Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 wooden or metal
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, mint, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the mixture, and mix again until combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- While the mixture is chilling, soak wooden skewers in water for about 10 minutes if using, to prevent burning on the grill.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Form the lamb mixture into oval-shaped meatballs and thread them onto the skewers, about 3-4 meatballs per skewer.
- Once the grill is ready, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and nicely charred.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
