- Lamb shoulder - 400 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Yogurt - 2 tablespoons (optional for serving)
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Skewers - 2 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- Cut the lamb shoulder into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the lamb cubes and mix well to ensure the meat is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with a dollop of yogurt on the side, if desired.
