Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder - 400 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, yogurt, lemon juice, dried oregano, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to ensure all pieces are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 4 hours for better flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
