Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into chunks
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken cubes, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the vegetables by cutting the bell pepper and red onion into chunks.
  5. After marinating, thread the chicken, bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and vegetables.
  6. Preheat the grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  7. Grill the skewers for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  8. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
