Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder, cubed - 300 grams

  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato sauce - 200 grams
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the cubed lamb, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  3. Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the lamb is grilling, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan over low heat and stir in the lemon juice. Keep warm.
  5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly toasted.
