- Lamb shoulder, cubed - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Plain yogurt - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Tomato sauce - 200 grams
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the cubed lamb, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the lamb is grilling, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan over low heat and stir in the lemon juice. Keep warm.
- Warm the pita bread on the grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly toasted.
- To serve, place the warm pita on a plate, top with the grilled lamb skewers, and generously drizzle with the warm tomato sauce.
- Add a dollop of plain yogurt on top and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
