- Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh mint, chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Mixed salad greens - 100 grams
- Cucumber, diced - 50 grams
- Cherry tomatoes, halved - 100 grams
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 30 grams
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, mint, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the meatballs on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the köftes are grilling, prepare the salad by combining the mixed salad greens, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese in a bowl. Drizzle with lemon juice and a little olive oil, then toss gently to combine.
- Once the köftes are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled köftes alongside the fresh salad for a balanced and delicious meal.
