- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber - 100 grams, diced
- Tomato - 100 grams, diced
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Cut the lamb shoulder into thin slices and place them in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the lamb slices, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the lamb from the marinade and thread the slices onto skewers.
- Grill the lamb skewers for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and nicely charred.
- While the lamb is grilling, prepare a fresh salad with diced cucumber, tomato, red onion, and chopped parsley. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the grilled lamb skewers with the salad on the side.
