Steps
- In a pot, combine 500 ml of water, 100 grams of sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, and 2 cloves. Bring to a boil to create a simple syrup.
- Once boiling, reduce heat and add the dried oranges. Simmer for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the oranges to soften.
- Remove the oranges from the syrup and place them on a serving plate.
- Strain the syrup to remove the spices and return it to the pot. Reduce the syrup over medium heat for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of rose water for fragrance.
- Drizzle the reduced syrup over the dried oranges.
- Top with chopped almonds and walnuts before serving.
