- Semolina - 100 grams
- Butter - 50 grams
- Dried pomegranate - 50 grams
- Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Water - 200 milliliters
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Pomegranate seeds (for garnish) - 20 grams
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously until it turns golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- In a separate pot, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Once the semolina is golden, slowly pour in the sugar syrup while stirring to prevent lumps.
- Add the dried pomegranate, chopped walnuts, and ground cinnamon, mixing well.
- Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to a serving dish.
- Garnish with pomegranate seeds before serving.
