Ingredients

  • Semolina - 100 grams
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Dried pomegranate - 50 grams
  • Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
  • Sugar - 100 grams
  • Water - 200 milliliters
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Pomegranate seeds (for garnish) - 20 grams

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously until it turns golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Once the semolina is golden, slowly pour in the sugar syrup while stirring to prevent lumps.
  5. Add the dried pomegranate, chopped walnuts, and ground cinnamon, mixing well.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to a serving dish.
  8. Garnish with pomegranate seeds before serving.
