Ingredients

  • Dried apricots - 100 grams
  • Semolina - 50 grams
  • Butter - 30 grams
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Chopped walnuts - 25 grams
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Chop the dried apricots into small pieces and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously until it turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil and dissolve the sugar in it.
  5. Pour the sugar water into the toasted semolina mixture slowly while stirring to avoid lumps.
  6. Add the chopped dried apricots and continue to stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped walnuts and ground cinnamon.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased dish and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
