- Semolina - 50 grams
- Butter - 30 grams
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Water - 250 ml
- Chopped walnuts - 25 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Chop the dried apricots into small pieces and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously until it turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil and dissolve the sugar in it.
- Pour the sugar water into the toasted semolina mixture slowly while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Add the chopped dried apricots and continue to stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in the chopped walnuts and ground cinnamon.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased dish and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
