- Ground beef (or lamb) - 300 grams
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Baked potatoes - 2 medium
- Butter - 20 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Pickles - 2, sliced
- Burger buns - 2
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) for the baked potatoes.
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and prick them with a fork. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until tender.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or lamb), breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
- Once the potatoes are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut them open and fluff the insides with a fork. Add butter and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To assemble the burgers, place a köfte patty on each bun, add a generous spoonful of yogurt, some grated cheddar cheese, and sliced pickles. Top with the fluffy baked potato.
