Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tablespoon water) - 1 batch
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1/2 medium
- Feta cheese (crumbled) - 50 grams
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two equal patties.
- In another bowl, mix almond flour, shredded mozzarella, and egg until a dough forms. Divide the dough into two equal portions and flatten each into an oval shape to create the base for the pide.
- Place the formed pide crusts on a lined baking sheet. Brush the edges with the egg wash.
- Bake the pide crusts in the oven for about 10 minutes or until slightly golden.
- While the crusts are baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the beef patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Once the pide crusts are out of the oven, top each with a cooked beef patty, lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber slices, crumbled feta, and chopped parsley.
- Return the assembled pide burgers to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to warm through.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then serve and enjoy your Keto Pide Burger!
