- Almond flour - 200 grams
- Psyllium husk powder - 2 tablespoons
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Red bell pepper - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, melt mozzarella cheese in the microwave for about 30 seconds until gooey.
- Add the melted cheese and egg to the dry ingredients, mixing well until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into an oval shape, about 1/2 cm thick.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add ground beef, red bell pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet, cooking until the beef is browned.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a boat shape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
