Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 200 grams
  • Psyllium husk powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Red bell pepper - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt mozzarella cheese in the microwave for about 30 seconds until gooey.
  4. Add the melted cheese and egg to the dry ingredients, mixing well until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into an oval shape, about 1/2 cm thick.
  6. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  8. Add ground beef, red bell pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet, cooking until the beef is browned.
  9. Stir in tomato paste and cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  10. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
  11. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a boat shape.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  13. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
