Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Yogurt (full-fat, unsweetened) - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, egg, and salt to form a dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef, black pepper, and paprika to the skillet. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  4. Roll out the rested dough between two sheets of parchment paper until about 2mm thick. Cut into 5cm squares.
  5. Place a small spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each square. Fold the corners to the center and pinch to seal, forming a dumpling.
  6. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully drop the manti into the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes until they float to the top.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  8. Drain the manti and serve topped with the garlic yogurt sauce, a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
