Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 200 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground beef or lamb - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Dried mint - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, egg, and salt to form a dough. Knead until smooth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent. Add the ground meat, black pepper, and paprika, cooking until browned. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until thin. Cut into small squares (about 5 cm).
  4. Place a teaspoon of the meat mixture in the center of each square and fold the corners to create a dumpling shape. Pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the dumplings in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with dried mint, and season with salt to taste.
  7. Serve the cooked dumplings topped with the yogurt sauce and a drizzle of olive oil.
