- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100g
- Ground lamb or beef - 200g
- Onion (finely chopped) - 50g
- Red bell pepper (finely chopped) - 50g
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- In a bowl, combine almond flour, egg, and mozzarella cheese. Mix well until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each part into a thin flatbread shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and red bell pepper, sautéing until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and ground meat to the skillet. Cook until the meat is browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in tomato paste, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until well combined.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over each flatbread, then bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are crispy.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
