Ingredients
- Hazelnuts - 100 grams
- Butter - 30 grams
- Erythritol - 40 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fragrant.
- While the hazelnuts are roasting, melt the butter in a medium-sized pan over low heat.
- Add the erythritol, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the melted butter, stirring until the erythritol is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Once the hazelnuts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and add them to the butter mixture, stirring to coat them evenly.
- Increase the heat to medium and cook the nut mixture for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly until the nuts are well caramelized.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a serving dish.
- Allow to cool completely at room temperature before serving.
