Ingredients

  • Quince - 200 grams
  • Erythritol - 50 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 piece
  • Cardamom pods - 2 pieces
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes - 10 grams

Steps

  1. Peel and core the quince, then cut it into quarters.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, erythritol, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Add the quince pieces to the saucepan and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the quince is tender.
  4. Once tender, remove the quince and place it on serving plates. Continue to simmer the syrup for an additional 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Pour the syrup over the quince pieces and let it cool slightly.
  6. Garnish each serving with chopped walnuts and unsweetened coconut flakes before serving.
