Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Greek yogurt - 200 grams
- Eggs - 2 large
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 liter
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground lamb with minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into small oval-shaped kebabs.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium heat. Cook the kebabs for about 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- While the kebabs are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, chopped dill, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In a pot, bring 1 liter of water to a gentle simmer. Crack the eggs into separate small bowls and carefully slide them into the simmering water. Poach the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but yolks are runny.
- To serve, place a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce on a plate, top with the grilled kebabs, and carefully place a poached egg on top of each kebab. Drizzle with additional olive oil and garnish with extra dill if desired.
