Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, finely chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Large baking potatoes - 2
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Tomato - 1, diced
  • Cucumber - 1, diced

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash the baking potatoes, pierce them with a fork, and rub with olive oil and salt. Place them directly on the oven rack and bake for 40-50 minutes until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, red bell pepper, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into skewers or patties, depending on your preference.
  5. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers or patties for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and browned.
  6. Once the potatoes are cooked, carefully cut them open and fluff the insides with a fork.
  7. Top each potato with a dollop of yogurt, grilled meat, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
  8. Drizzle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
