Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Red bell pepper (finely chopped) - 1 medium
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Parsley (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers (metal or soaked wooden) - 2
  • Flatbread - 2 pieces
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, red bell pepper, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, cumin, black pepper, salt, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions. Wet your hands slightly and mold each portion around a skewer, pressing firmly to form a long, cylindrical shape.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are well browned and cooked through.
  4. While the kebabs are grilling, warm the flatbreads on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side until slightly toasted.
  5. Serve the Kebap Adana hot, accompanied by the warm flatbreads and lemon wedges for squeezing over the kebabs.
