  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Fresh parsley - a handful, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the beef cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Season the meat with paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper, stirring well to coat.
  6. Add the diced bell pepper and chopped tomato, mixing everything together.
  7. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot, allowing it to simmer for 60 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
  9. Check occasionally and add more water if needed to prevent sticking.
  10. Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
