  • Water - 150ml
  • Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying (about 200ml)
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Wash the cauliflower and cut it into bite-sized florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, water, turmeric, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to create a smooth batter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated.
  5. Carefully place the battered florets into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
  7. Remove the fried cauliflower with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
