- Water - 100 milliliters
- Sugar (for caramel) - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (pistachios or walnuts) - for garnish
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, semolina, 50 grams of sugar, and butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens (about 10 minutes).
- Add the vanilla extract to the semolina mixture and stir well. Once thickened, pour the mixture into two serving bowls and let it cool at room temperature.
- In another saucepan, prepare the caramel sauce. Add 100 grams of sugar and 100 milliliters of water over medium heat. Stir until dissolved, then let it boil without stirring until it turns golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and carefully add the lemon juice to stop the cooking process. Allow the caramel to cool slightly.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cooled semolina dessert. Garnish with chopped nuts before serving.
