Ingredients
- Güllacı dough (or rice paper) - 4 sheets
- Greek yogurt - 200 grams
- Milk - 200 ml
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Rosewater - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped pistachios - 30 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk together over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and rosewater until smooth.
- In a shallow dish, pour the water and dip each sheet of Güllacı dough quickly to soften them, about 10 seconds each.
- Layer two softened sheets of dough in a serving dish, then spread half of the yogurt mixture over them.
- Repeat with the remaining two sheets of dough and the rest of the yogurt mixture, finishing with a layer of dough on top.
- Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top for garnish.
