Ingredients

  • Güllacı dough (or rice paper) - 4 sheets
  • Greek yogurt - 200 grams
  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Rosewater - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped pistachios - 30 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk together over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and rosewater until smooth.
  3. In a shallow dish, pour the water and dip each sheet of Güllacı dough quickly to soften them, about 10 seconds each.
  4. Layer two softened sheets of dough in a serving dish, then spread half of the yogurt mixture over them.
  5. Repeat with the remaining two sheets of dough and the rest of the yogurt mixture, finishing with a layer of dough on top.
  6. Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top for garnish.
