- Black tea - 4 cups (950 ml)
- Water - 4 cups (950 ml)
- Lemon - 1, sliced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Gluten-free bread - 4 slices
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Tomatoes - 2, diced
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Olives - 100 grams, mixed variety
Steps
- Boil 4 cups of water in a kettle or pot.
- Once the water is boiling, add 4 teaspoons of black tea leaves or 4 tea bags and steep for 10 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, prepare the accompaniments: slice the lemon, dice the tomatoes, and slice the cucumber.
- Toast the gluten-free bread slices until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, drizzle olive oil over the crumbled feta cheese and mix gently.
- Arrange the toasted bread on a plate, and top each slice with feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and cucumber slices.
- Add a small bowl of mixed olives on the side.
- Once the tea is ready, serve it in tea glasses with lemon slices and honey on the side for sweetening.
