Ingredients

  • Black tea - 4 cups (950 ml)
  • Water - 4 cups (950 ml)
  • Lemon - 1, sliced
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
  • Gluten-free bread - 4 slices
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
  • Tomatoes - 2, diced
  • Cucumber - 1, sliced
  • Olives - 100 grams, mixed variety

Steps

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a kettle or pot.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add 4 teaspoons of black tea leaves or 4 tea bags and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. While the tea is steeping, prepare the accompaniments: slice the lemon, dice the tomatoes, and slice the cucumber.
  4. Toast the gluten-free bread slices until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, drizzle olive oil over the crumbled feta cheese and mix gently.
  6. Arrange the toasted bread on a plate, and top each slice with feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and cucumber slices.
  7. Add a small bowl of mixed olives on the side.
  8. Once the tea is ready, serve it in tea glasses with lemon slices and honey on the side for sweetening.
