  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red bell pepper - 50 grams, diced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine almond flour, eggs, and shredded mozzarella cheese to form a dough.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth, then press it into a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, forming a crust.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  5. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  6. Stir in tomato paste, diced red bell pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  7. Spread the meat mixture evenly over the prepared crust.
  8. Bake the Kıymalı Çörek in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley.
  10. Slice and serve warm.
